Biography
Chris Beauchamp is a cinematographer, filmmaker, photographer and writer based in Edmonton, Alberta. His background includes journalism, communications and marketing.
His photography work has included corporate, public-sector, and personal clients, as well as leading Canadian editorial publications like the Globe & Mail and National Post.
Since 2012, he has written, directed, and produced several short films, music videos, documentaries, and commercial projects. His film work has screened at festivals and events internationally and across North America. In 2019, Chris won an AMPIA Rosie award for Best Cinematographer in the short film category. He has extensive experience with research and interviewing, and knows how to help people open up in front of a camera. His award-winning cinematography, photography, and marketing portfolio has included projects for numerous local non-profits, businesses, and regional municipalities.
Chris is an active member of the Alberta media arts community, having served on the boards of the Peace Region Independent Media Arts Association (PRIMAA), Alberta Media Arts Alliance Society (AMAAS), and the Reel Shorts Film Festival.
